100 Days of Batman, Day 87

Batman: Bloodstorm Part One by Doug Moench and art by Kelley Jones takes place just a few weeks after the events of Batman and Dracula. Batman and Tanya did not manage to kill of all of Dracula's nests. At least one managed to survive and is still feeding and converting more of Gotham's citizens to their dark cause. Without a leader however they are merely trying to survive and avoid Batman who is one of them now, but uses his curse to find and destroy them. Knowing this group of undead needs a leader the joker decides to take over convincing them that he can help them defeat the Batman and fulfill their dark desires.

Batman was given a elixir from Tanya that was and is supposed to take the place of his need to drink blood. However it is slowly losing its potency and he is beginning to struggle. Batman's biggest challenge now is to resist the bloodlust that is taking hold of him and find a way to make the elixir stronger or he will likely fall to the evil ways of a vampire.

What a fun read. Defiantly well WORTH YOUR TIME. It is different from almost any other Batman story I have read and I am totally digging it. Watching Batman evolve into a "monster" and not just a man pretending to be one is fascinating. If you have not read this series I highly recommend it.
